Beginner setup
Vial sizes vary by vendor. Smaller bottles are usually 3 mL; larger bottles are often 10 mL. Match the label on the vial you actually bought, then use the calculator below if you need to adjust.
Vial strength 5 mg
Bottle format often 3 mL
BAC water 3 mL
Concentration 1.67 mg/mL
Overview
Selank is a synthetic tuftsin-based peptide with anxiolytic and mild nootropic effects. Human studies used intranasal dosing; the common research route is subcutaneous injection, which is what this calculator is set up for.
Preparation
Reconstitute a 5 mg vial with 3 mL of bacteriostatic water (BAC) for a ~1.67 mg/mL concentration. Refrigerate after mixing. (Intranasal protocols reconstitute to a 0.5–1 mg/mL spray instead.)
| Vial | BAC | Concentration |
|---|---|---|
| 5 mg | 3 mL | 1.67 mg/mL |
Protocol
| Period | Dose | Units (@ 1.67 mg/mL) | Frequency |
|---|---|---|---|
| Weeks 1–2 | 500 mcg (0.5 mg) | 30 units (0.30 mL) | 1x/day |
| Weeks 3–4 | 750 mcg (0.75 mg) | 45 units (0.45 mL) | 1x/day |
| Weeks 5–8 | 1,000 mcg (1 mg) | 60 units (1.00 mL) | 1x/day |
Cycle
4–8 week cycles. Morning dosing keeps the anxiolytic effect over the day; effects build over the first week or two.
