Overview
Tesamorelin is a GHRH analog and the only GH peptide with an FDA approval (for HIV-associated belly fat). At the standard 2 mg daily dose it’s the heavy hitter of the GHRH class — and the dose is fixed, not titrated by feel.
Preparation
Reconstitute a 5 mg vial with 2.5 mL of bacteriostatic water (BAC) for a 2.0 mg/mL concentration. Once mixed with BAC, refrigerate and use within 7 days.
| Vial | BAC | Concentration |
|---|---|---|
| 5 mg | 2.5 mL | 2 mg/mL |
Protocol
| Period | Dose | Units (@ 2 mg/mL) | Frequency |
|---|---|---|---|
| Week 1 | 1 mg (1,000 mcg) | 50 units (0.50 mL) | 1x/day |
| Weeks 2–12+ | 2 mg (2,000 mcg) | 100 units (1.00 mL) | 1x/day |
Cycle
8–16 week cycles at 2 mg daily. A one-week 1 mg run-in improves tolerability. Evening dosing coincides with nocturnal GH release.
