Overview
5-Amino-1MQ activates NMNAT2, the enzyme that recycles NMN back into NAD+. Instead of flooding the system with NAD+ precursors, it works on the recycling side of the equation — a different angle on the same energy pathway.
Preparation
Reconstitute a 50 mg vial with 4 mL of bacteriostatic water (BAC) for a 12.5 mg/mL concentration. Swirl gently; refrigerate after mixing.
| Vial | BAC | Concentration |
|---|---|---|
| 50 mg | 4 mL | 12.5 mg/mL |
Protocol
| Period | Dose | Units (@ 12.5 mg/mL) | Frequency |
|---|---|---|---|
| Days 1–2 | 2.5 mg | 20 units (0.20 mL) | 1x/day |
| Day 3+ | 5 mg | 40 units (0.40 mL) | 1x/day |
Cycle
8–12 week cycles. Steady daily dosing builds NMNAT2 activity; no titration past 5 mg in the available research.
